I'm very fond of forever friends bears and I would like to start collecting them. The thing is that there are very few kinds selling in the shop. (I've been to Clintons card shops for the bears but there isn't many )Does anyone know where I can find more of forever friends bears selling? Have been on ebay but I'd prefer to buy brand new ones . Any shops in London or anywhere else mainly selling the bears?

Not getting them could be lots of reasons. Including but not limited to:

1. Sender put wrong Address or domain.

2. You have a Block on Sender.

3. It was delivered to Bulk/Spam and sometimes Trash.

4. Sender needs to be put in addressbook.

5. Sending and Receiving Server problems or delays.

6. You've enabled mail forwarding.

7. You've set up filters.

i would suggest looking in classmates.com first. if they show up there you may be able to get a hold of them based on profile information.

otherwise go to a good people search site like: http://www.intelius.com/ and find them there. then locate the current city and state.

go to the white pages online and put in the name and state for the person (or their parents) and you should be able to find them.

Is there such a thing as a friendship website online? I want to make new female friends and find that all the sites are dating ones! A few mates have all moved from this area over the years, and Im finding it difficult to find new ones. Im 42, single with no kids and find that most woman my age are married with kids and even grandkids and they are busy with their own lives. armwrestling is a way,then how about a tug of war or you could even try lifting them but that could hurt your back if not done properly
Reply:Trying doing a "max out" on bench pressing at your local gym. Just make sure you warm up first!
Reply:As the first answer suggests- a benchpressing contest is the way to go but I wouldn't recomend going for 1 or 2 rep max unless you're all experienced! if you don't have access to a bench try press-ups, though this only determines strength in relative to body weight and not all round strength.

Myspace is a good source to find people in your hometown. I don't go to a lot of bars, or even out much in general so I really haven't made very many new friends since high school.

If you're looking for people in other parts of the world to talk to, I would suggest joining a forum that has to do with your favorite hobby or interest. Join up and start chatting about stuff. Most forums I have been on will have places for people to put their AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and/orMSN messenger screen names.

Pretty much since i was born i grew up going to church with my parents every sunday but the truth is I never felt had God in my life %26amp; whenever i was in trouble or in need i prayed to God I never got a response as I was in a pentecostal denomination church this personal relationship people had meant you'd have people saying "oh God told me to do this, i heard his voice telling me that i can feel his prescence etc etc I guess i grew to question his existance when things in life went from disaster to disaster eventually it lead me to just give it all up all together i just felt like i've been wasting my time trying to get connected to God when ever i tried as hard as i could i never got a response since I left the church scene altogether the so called friends I made a church have all disowned me never to contact again so now at 20yrs old i'm starting over again just would like to get some tips on where to find new friends out of church %26amp; former schoolfriends are all but uncontactable.

well u meet ppl and u know they're ur friend when u feel a strong connection but thats not all of it, u also have to see if the person is trustworthy and if they do anything behind ur back or if u guys don't laugh together or if u find that she could be doing something bad and it "doesn't feel right" then they're definately not ur friend. They have to be trustworthy and nice. If they'll get mad at u for something u "did wrong" or if they dont call u for plans at ALL and hang out with other ppl or ditch u, no way they're ur friend.

I have kids at my school that "pretend" to be my friend and I never fall for it, I tell them that they can just bug off and do whatever they want but they can't mess with me. And my real friends stand up for me (not joining in the crowd) and they tell that person off with me, they stand by my side. They make u feel better and if they know ur doing something ur not supposed to they force u to stop because they want to protect u. If something was wrong they'd tell u to tell them immediately and they'd help u find a solution.

What happen to ya old friends? Why are they cut off, didnt you have a good time with them at one point? You can regain a more compatible friend from old ones. I guarantee that haven't forgotten you and would have a lunch or two for starters. As your kids become involved into school, daycare, etc you will find other kids and their family to interact with. PTA, school events, or convo's in the daycare parking lot. If you want friends from similar interest, just go out to an event and talk to folks. Baseball games, movies, churches, college continuing education, or even travel to festivals where there is alot of similar people that self satisfy their own interest in city festivals. If your single then start dating, and if you dating then tell ya man to do his job, lol. Just be confident and work on improving yaself always, then everything will follow. Good luck!

Reply:Yeah, I've been there. My social life came to a drastic hault after the birth of my daughter. I'm doing better now though. I've met people that are in my situation, meaning married with children and work so know we get together on the weekends take the kids out together. Its pretty cool. Best way to check for this for free is not on the internet but through the Electoral Roll. All you have to do is go down to your local AEC (Australian Electoral Commision) office and you can search for a name and it will come up with the last address they were listed at for voting.

I can't seem to find friends in my area that believe the same way I do about drugs. Most people that I come in contact with seem to think that smoking pot is ok or other drugs are ok. Is there anyone that actually follows the law in that department? If so where can I find them? Please don't waste my time by answering this just to get points.

Reply:Although they are out there, I found it easier to march to my own drum, not do drugs, and let them smoke pot if they choose.

To this day I've never smoked pot, but some of my best friends do. It;s personal choice.. They should respect yours, and you theirs.

As for the Church Answers. thats fine, as long as you don;t mind them excluding Jews, Gays, Transgendered people.. And of course, once you exclude drug users, and everyone the church is going to exclude, you end up with a group of narrow minded biggots who think they're going to heaven simply by their lack of tolelrence.

Reply:Just keep looking. Find social groups in your area that cater to people your age (you don't say how old you are). If you're in high school, join clubs that don't rely on popularity to determine who gets in. Think about the places you're meeting people - are they places where "vices" (like drinking and smoking) are accepted - like bars? If so, you're more likely to find people who are "looser" on their convictions than if you were to go to church socials or bookstore book groups. BTW, just because people go to church doesn't mean they don't have the flaws you're trying to avoid - but it's more likely that people there will have convictions more similar to yourself - however, if you're not religious, don't go to these places just to find people who feel your way about drugs. It wouldn't be fair to them. And I use church as a way of saying any religious house, from temple to mosque. Good luck.

After raising 4 awesome individuals I find myself with more free time on my hands than usual. I have also found that after devoting my life to providing for my children I do not know very many people my own age or with whom I have much in common. I've tried singles sites. I'm an 8th grader, and I'm extremely introverted; I usually utter at least 30 sentences in school. Even though I always get excellent grades (4.0 GPA last quarter...) I feel as though nobody wants to talk to me. One kid don't even desire to let me correct his homework in Social Studies. Sometimes I wish that I was not a somber, sullen person. There is an antisocial tendency in my personality. I hate my teachers, hate my life, really...I feel as though I am failure...even with my "achievements" they don't reflect my hollow feelings inside. I've been depressed all week, and I thank God our school do not have to attend this friday.

So to sum up my emotional tantrum, do you, in your experience, find more friends in high school than middle school?

I could not remember any pleasant memories for these past years; what a burden to live...

It's a proven fact that kids in middle school don't develop the ability to feel empathy until they reach highschool. That often makes it hard to make friends or at least true friends.

Highschool is a great experience because you learn a lot about who you are. 9th grade is a year to make yourself who you want to be and scope out the people you want to be friends with. I don't know any kids in my school who haven't made friends in the years they've been there. Teachers often pair you up with kids in groups the first couple weeks so make an effort to talk to your partner and you'll learn it isn't all that hard to make friends.

I the hardest years of my life were between 7th and 11th grade. At times I think I went through the entire school day without saying a single word to anyone. I was really miserable, shy, and thought of myself as a complete failure.

I think things started looking up for me during the last two years of school -- and things get even better in college.

Want to know what's a sad twist? In 15 years you'll give anything to be starting 7th grade again :)

Don't get down on yourself. If you're really depressed you should talk to someone -- ask your parents if you can see a psychiatrist or someone that you can talk to confidentially.

I'm also sure there are message boards to find people with similar problems. It's a huge burden thinking you're the only one like that, but in reality many many people your age have are going through this.

Look around other people's pages, if you find a page you like leave a comment and add them to your favourites. Keep commenting on their page but Don't Stalk(!!!).

After you've left a few comments send them an invite and they should accept. Don't send the usual form invite though- I and quite a few other people like me won't accept form invites. Write your own message in the box.

People don't tend to like it if you send them an invite before you've ever posted on their page. They want to know what you're like, and whether you'll actually be visiting their page. If you send an invite straight away you just come across as being a people collector!

Reply:Get a job in a fast food restaurant or babysitting. You can do volunteer work. The library is always looking for people to straighten the shelves or help with the children's programs. Call your high school and ask them if they have any suggestions for jobs or volunteer work. Most school's offices are open during the summer.

I am a young mommy, All of my best friends are living the single girl in the city life that I just cant be a part of. My Husband and I are in our mid twenties and want to find people to hang out with that also have kids and can relate to us better. But we haven't been able to meet anyone for a while. We love spending time as a family but it would be nice to meet new people that also share our day to day expieriences.

I don't necessarily have a solution, but I find your question interesting as my husband and I are in the same situation. I am from a very small town where it is hard to meet anyone new. If there's anyone you know of (like an acquaintance, no one you really KNOW) you could start out by suggesting a play date w/ the kids, and see if eventually as adults you could do couple things; going out to eat, movies, bowling; things of that nature. We were in line waiting on a table and decided to join forces with another couple waiting. It was quicker to get a table for four than two each so we decided to make an evening of it.

i am in year 10 at school and so in a year and a bit will be moving up to college. i am really looking forward to making new friends because my current friends never invite me to do anything, they are two-faced towards me and each other, one is a complete show off and always puts me down and the other is really insecure no matter what i do or try to say to her. when i go to college i want to find new friends and not stay with these people who i can't trust. but is it wrong to want to get rid of them?

I only have 3 vegetarian friends onf all my friends. 1 was vegetarian when I met her and the other jsut decided to make the decision this year. She came to me when she had questions which was nice.

And the last one is my first bf, he decided to go veggie while we were dating and I asked him and even after we broke up he stuck with it and still is.

My husband also is not vegetarian but he is very flexible he doesn't cook any meat in our house. (So basically only when he goes out to a resturant, which isn't very often for us, and even then he still will choose a vegetarian meal over meat.)

If they aren't trying to tell you to eat meat then I don't know why it would bother you because the majority of people eat it, and you might be suprised at how willing and flexible they are.

Reply:Yeah, I joined the local chapter of EarthSave and attented potlucks,volunteered, and all that jazz. Much easier to do in the city though. In the burbs, no body does anything, no body knows anyone, and it sucks. In the city, everyone's busy or something and they are constantly getting together and doing social stuff, but in the burbs everyone's so spread out with friends miles and miles away... and when I did organize a potluck, the only people who showed-up were from miles and miles away in the city, no locals came. It really sucked. So, if you don't live in the city, yeah, be prepared to either go to the city, or hook-up with some locals on-line. Or try starting your own monthly potluck -- good luck.

This is really a pain in the a**.. so i've recently moved to a big city. i'm a small town girl (22 yo), and the city life is a bit different for me. anyways, how in the world am i supposed to find and make friends? i'm not a bar goer, or dancer. actually, i'm a self proclaimed "good girl." i have high morals, and i'm looking for similar people. it seems so easy to find people like me who are older, but those are mentors and who i look up to. i need to figure out how to find people on the same level as me. you know? and because of my job position, i can't be friends with people on the job. i'm the boss.... any advice??

Me and my boyfriend are very open-minded and we like to have fun and experience new things. one's choice of friends is not an indication of anything - like gender identification or preference - so it's not fair to pre-judge. personally, it doesn't even matter anyway. however, our circle of friends is a good gauge of our character.

A well-rounded individual will tend to have a social circle which includes both genders and also diverse backgrounds and social status.

If a person tends to associate with only one type of individual, I would certainly question his sociability state.

I'm not thinking of a dysfunctional state. I would be more concerned about the level and maturity of his social skill set.

I have a strange work situation. I get along well with pretty much everyone there, with no actual enemies. I've hung out with at least seven of them on seperate occasions, and only two at the same time. They are all very different people. We are all around college age except a couple highschool seniors. I don't have an existing social life outside of co-workers. I've also been involved sexually with two of the guys there. One was a fling, everyone knew about and it's over. He was my first ever. The other guy is off limits because everyone says he has a girlfriend, but he didn't have a problem messing around with me that one night recently. I didn't know, and to protect our reputations, no one else knows about that. I care about these people, but it's such a messy situation. How do I make friends outside of work? I really need to find some other way to bond with people that's healthy, but how? And I need an actual boyfriend so I don't keep getting screwed by these heartbreakers. Ideas?

However, you can put yourself out in the open (you know what I mean. And I don't mean strip naked.) and see who comes to you.Go to social events, join clubs, the works.

But I'm guessing you already considered these options.

They're just too hard to do right now-- cuz you're shy.

Then, work to overcome your timidness.

Join in on an conversation. Or are you afraid you're too boring, and can't come up with interesting subjects to talk about? Thats my case. Trust me, though. Everyone is a bit boring sometimes. : )

I am a woman who is considered attractive although I'm not a model or anything. I have a friend that is not very attractive but she has a great personality. Sometimes I find that she seems to want to hang out with other unattractive people instead of me. I don't care because I've got other friends. I never make a big deal about looks when I'm with her. I just wondered if this could all be in my mind. What do you think?

I am a SAHM of 2 young children and lately I just feel like I will never be able to find a true friend. I have several "friends" that I met through a mom's group but I don't consider any of them true friends. Most of them are very flaky and don't actualy take the time to listen to what you have to say. How do I go about making new friends when I stay home all day? Am I the only one that feels this way?

I'm right there with YOU! Even my sister in law has a group of moms that she just met and they have kids my daughters age and she deliberately doesn't invite me. everything was a competition for her so i guess its comforting for her to feel that she has more "friends" than me..

It just goes to show that sometimes even family can be a little flaky too. I found more genuine people at my church that aren't moms or are a bit older than me to be great friends.
Reply:No, you are not the only one that feels that way. I know that it's hard to cope being a single mom, and feeling like you don't have any friends. I felt, and feel the same way. Even though it feels like you won't make any friends, and you feel like you are alone, you aren't. Try getting involved at a church, or a program through the community. Even if that is where you are going through right now, there are a ton of different classes that you can take with or without your kids that will help you network. Most of the classes that they offer have babysitters that can watch your kids for you while you are there. Otherwise, the youth in your church are a great recourse that can help you out. It may cost you a few bucks, but it will be worth it to get out of your house for a while.

Reply:I have trouble making friends in general because I have major trust issues, but I can give some general advice. Look for friends in a group other than the mom's group. Look through your church, or maybe you can take a class in the evenings when your husband is home to watch the kids. Take ceramics or karate or a writing course, whatever seems interesting. The more you expand the group of people you know, the better your chance of finding a good friend. Also, maybe you can start a group of your own. is it hard to make really good friends with wives that are in your husbands unit? i find it hard to have a true friend..i have one that is soooo annoying and tries to tell me how to do things and always keeps talking even when she knows she has pissed me off and is always bragging on herself..not looking for advice just seeing if anyone has found it hard to make real good friends.

I did not have too much trouble in california, but I am here in Kansas, mainly because I live off base and know mostly Active Guard people who have lots of family around them, I don't. I found it the easiest when everyone was a "transplant." What base are you coming to in Ks.? If it is McConnell, I can help you get involved in some of the spouse groups.

Reply:YES, it is so hard to find a "normal" wife. We are currently stationed in Germany....so its either military wives or germans. I have found one friend that I love to death and she is helping me with my first deployment, I don't know what I'd do without her. But if you find one you like, hold on to them for life because you will always need some one who is going through the same thing as you!

i have applied everywhere here and cannot obtain a job because i am a military wife...i dont tell them that upfront all the time and when they find out, they think my husband can get re-stationed within days then they are out of an employee...very frustrating and it ticks me off

Reply:I'm a marine wife. It's some times very hard to make fiends with the women in my husbands unit. I tend to be able to make better friends with the people in the same housing area as me. They are the ones you see every day. I do have some friends in the unit though. If you really want to get to know them then you need to get involved. If your enlisted then start doing things with the enlisted wives club(officers wives have the same thing). Don't worry about the one friend there is always some one like that. Just move on. You will be surprised....you will make some really good friends that you will stay in touch with forever. You will end up with friends all over the world! The key is "GET INVOLVED". Don't just stay in your house all the time. You have to throw yourself out there when your a military spouse.

Reply:You have no idea what this means to your husband. My wife suffered horribly as she found herself isolated from the FRG. The only thing I can suggest is that you attend every function the installation provides and try and find someone. Civilians can rarely relate to what you are going through and depending on your husband's situation, even other military wives may try and blame you for actions happening in the unit. I can only say I hope you the best and please keep plugging away. For those who have the time before deployment - START MAKING those contacts right this minute. You are going to need them once your hubby is gone. Find out who your rear detachment and the installation Chaplain is now. They will be of immense help in the future. Helping my partner to find new friends in a new town.?

My partner recently relocated from Chicago to my hometown in East Texas to be with me and my son. He has a great job, we have a beautiful house, and everything has been pretty great! However, I have noticed that he doesn't have a social life outside of me and my family. As we live in a fairly small town (Pop. 18000) I'd like some suggestions on how to help him make new friends and find his niche here. I think that he may be lonely, aside from missing his friends and family back home. He's a great guy, a hard worker, and an absolutely awesome dad figure for my son. He's just not very outgoing, so I'd like to find some activities that he might enjoy to help him meet people.

I've recently moved to be with someone too. Although we spend lots of time with his friends, I still have yet to connect with them. In fact, I connect more to my coworkers. You can't force him to make friends, but just keep allowing the opportunity to be there. Also, understand that this is a hard time for him and be supportive. I would suggest going out with couples, that seems to be the most comfortable for me and allows me to socialize more one on one with the other people if I choose. Good luck!

Reply:Adults don't need to socialize with friends as much as young people need friends, what adults really need in life are hobbies. It would probably make him really happy if he had an old car to work on and fix up, or a boat that he could take out and go fishing in.

Reply:take him to meet and greet the neighbors. you can also throw small house warming parties and invite neighbors and friends of friends of yours too. third way is to go to community outings/gatherings. since it's a small town, people will notice him and they can all introduce each other and befriend each other and so on.
Reply:As someone who has moved around a lot, I know tough that situation can be. Tell him to get involved in a group or take a class that focuses on things he likes to do. For example, I like to work out so when I move somewhere new I always end up making friends at whatever gym I sign up for. Also, I made friends in classes I enjoyed, like acting. For older adults (i'm only 21) it can be harder because they don't want to go to the community college and take a class or something. But they have great options. I know the local college where I'm at has a variety of dance classes (you guys could do something like that together). Or if he likes golf he can join an online forum for local golfers and meet people like that. Lots of options. Just think outside the box! :) Best of luck!

by "losers" I mean that they seem to be in the same place they were when I met them, no progress. Also I find myself constantly forgiving them for being disloyal. Plus how do I go about meeting new people when I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. I suppose I would rather be in one of the other circles of friends here but I don't know how to go about it? seriously frustrating and lonely!!!!!!!!!

There is an old saying, if you want to be successful hang with successful people. This rule applies here. I did the same thing 2 years ago, slowly filtered out my old friends because they were drinking every night and using drugs. I didnt want that life so I moved and made new friends. Best move I ever made.

Edit: I think it's okay for you to be hurt. Because these are people who you thought were your friends. I want to scream and get VERY angry at people who've witnessed my hideously protracted and complex breakup with my uncommon outlaw husband of 10 years and tell me the same old other fish in the sea CRAP when they don't know the complications. They're too complex to describe here, but I need a certain exact physical and mental type or there's no sexual interest to me. But longhaired guys w/ no beard, genius intellect, obsessive devotion to his art, music, activism, writing etc. NEED to be there. I'm 41, herpes, hep c, exjunkie on methadone, used to work sex industry, 200 lbs (5'8") w/bizarre occult interests. Not what guys who I would WANT to have anything to do with would think of as a great catch. I can feel good about self, but he was IT, partnerwise, and anyone else would feel like less. Reply:That's been a problem of mine for a while now. I'm a high school senior and my whole school life I've always felt more mature than everyone else. Unfortunately, most kids that are more "mature" are too focused on their studies (maybe a nerd or something, and I know that usually in high school there's the whole clique sh!t) and/or not fun to be around. I think you need to branch out and make new friends, and eventually you'll find people with more of your mentality. If you can't, no need to worry - college is right around the corner and you'll find various different types of people, some of which will surely suit you. Good luck!

Right now, you don't feel like you belong to either group. This will change in the next couple of years as your friends who like to goof off will mature (hopefully).
