So, I'm 15 and my mom is in her mid forties and is a single parent to me and my sister. Her life revovels around me and my sister as well. Supporting us with our hobbies, dreams, and goals. Of course, this isn't a bad thing, but I find that she has no life of her own. I worry that she'll be alone and by herself when we go off to college and start our own life. My mom really doesn't have a friend base. She finds it hard to relate to other women because of being single, and having our dad skip the country to avoid paying child support. There are a few people from our church that she says shes friends with, but shes never been to their house and vice versa. I want her to have a great group of girlfriends and be able to go out every now and then to dinner, or just have someone to talk to one the phone. I'm not saying she has to go out partying every night. But, how do I find her some women to be friends with? Thanks in advance.
How can I find friends for my mom?
As sweet as this question is, I would have to agree with the first answerer who said you don't have to worry about your mom. She's fine. I'm sure if she wanted to she could find friends on her own.
Reply:If she lives anywhere near Indiana, I'd be interested. Of course I'm a guy looking for a long term relationship...lol.
Reply:if this is an honest question, you're a cutie for worrying for her...but don't. let her deal with her own demons. :)
Reply:You don't have to worry about your mom I'm sure she will be fine , she is probably just taking it easy for a while , all will be well with her...
Reply:findin her friends could be hard, but what about your aunts or her cousins who she can hang out with sumtimes

Reply:my Mom is the same...this is what i've learned....you are not responsible for your Mom..she really does sound fantastic and very supportive of her girls and you sound like a great kid, but her social life is her business. If you worry about it you will feel so guilty when its time for you to go and your Mom would never ever want that for you. If she wants friends she will go out and meet them when she is ready. In the meantime just be the best kid and make her proud. Though it sounds like you already do.
