What is Mutuality?
Mutuality allows you to register your interest in activities or relationships with your friends. If one of your friends registers the same interest with you, then Mutuality will let you both know the good news. Otherwise your secret is safe - the other party will never discover that you're interested in them, unless they're interested in you themselves.
What partnerships can I register interest in?
Mutuality isn't just for romantic relationships: you can express interests in social activities, or just getting to know someone better.
Are my interests really secure?
Yes. We will never divulge your interests to someone else unless the interest is mutual.
How do I use Mutuality
Go play with it! It's not too complicated. But here are a couple tips to get you started:
Setting interests with your friends
The screenshot below shows the view you'll see when you first log in to Mutuality (we've blurred out our friends' faces). Using the drop-down list at top-left, you can choose to see all your friends, just your friends who have Mutuality installed, just the friends you've expressed an interest in, or just the friends where both of you have expressed the same interest.
For each friend shown, you can use the drop-down list next to their picture to select an interest you want to express. Then, click the [add] link to the right to confirm it.
You can also use the links to the right of each friend to send them a Facebook message or to invite them to Mutuality.
Managing Matches
The screenshot below shows an example of a friend with matching interests. At the top of the screen, the dark martini icon indicates that both James and the user want to have a drink with each other. Below that, the light-colored coffee icon indicates that the user wants to have coffee with James, but James hasn't expressed a reciprocal interest. The [remove] links to the right of each icon can be used to unexpress the interest, and the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen can be used to add new interests.
Reply:i think if you mean common friends between you and your friend you are looking through his profile well this application isn't working with me anymore whenever i click on mutual friends the page turns to friends with latest updates i don't know i think it is a problem with facebook
Reply:When you go to someone's profile, there will be a section called Mutual Friends which is the people that you and that person BOTH have on your friends list. You wouldn't be listed there since you aren't on your own friend's list.
mutual friends section means the common friends u have with the person whose profile you're visiting. your sister and your friends see 'mutual friends' when they visit ur profile too

How can I find gay friends in England?
I'm in Thailand at the moment and I've been living here for a long time, maybe too long. I'll have to leave soon and go back home to Birmingham.
I partly want to go back, but partly don't. The thing that worries me most, apart from the British winter, is not having any gay friends. I've lost touch with almost everyone I used to know. They moved away, I lost all my phone numbers and email addresses in a serious flood, or we simply stopped corresponding.
Can anyone suggest some good places to go (on the internet) to find gay friends in England?

When I put in Gay Birmingham, there were several links, apparently there is a big community there. If you have some special interests, such as playing a sport, try contacting a gay organization related to your hobby, that will help you connect to people you will have something in common with.

How do you find nice friends?
I'm a guy in high school. I have many friends or "friends" I guess but all of them but maybe one seem to be assholes. Cocky, racist, inconsiderate, shallow, no morals, no common decency or respect. I love having fun and doing crazy stuff but there's a line that everyone just crosses into just being really mean. How can I find nice, or just tolerant people?
I'm totally straight, just being reasonable here. Almost every guy just seems to be a dick. How can I find nicer people?

Nearly all my friends have really good friends, I just can never find enough good ones.

I am in my mid twenties,and have hobbies that most people in their 20's don't enjoy; such as gardening, reading, knitting, animal advocacy/Vegetarian, and I also have two step-children. I also have been through a lot more than most twenty year olds so it is hard to find somebody that is mature, they don't have to be serious or anything but just not self absorbed and selfish, I HATE that. The majority of Utahans are of 2 groups either the supper religious or the hard core partiers (I live in a college town), which I want to be part of neither of them. I am sure their are other people but they are sure hard to find. My best friend and only true friend I have ever had lives in California and I only get to see her a couple times a year. We talk every night and that is great, but I just wish she lived closer. I have thought about starting a book club through borders so that I can meet other people. Have you thought about starting some sort of club or joining one that shares your interests? If you find and real solutions please let me know, and while your at please tell me more about yourself, who knows maybe we could be friends:)

How can I find new friends?
I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I have had a problem with social anxiety disorder, basically I feel very uncomfortable when I'm around strangers, the more they're are the more anxious I become, I find it hard concentrating on what other people are saying. Heart starts to pound a lot.
I've been living for the 7 years past virtual solitary confinement, with no friends whatsoever. I spoke to a counsellor and decided to face my anxiety and try and make new friends, although I've joined a gym, I'm still struggling.
So my question really is what places can I go to meet and interact with new people?

like the guy said join clubs, etc....... have you also considered church? it may sound religious, but many people make friends b/c of church....people there can b really friendly and patient w/ u....or try calming yourself down when you get nervous and anxious, that's what i do when i get nervous.... and tell yourself you're gonna b fine. hope this helped!
