Do you ever make friends with people who seem normal and social but later find them to be totally insane?

I find that sometimes I make friends with people who I later find out have at least some of the characteristics of a totally insane person or what could be termed an "antisocial personality."

yep, I did meet him online. He seemed normal but around the time I ended my friendship he got really into Hitler and started to address me a Freuline. Can't get insaner than that.

Reply:Yep! I came to my new school and decided to make a friend with a kid that moved in a little after me. He seemed like he didn't have any friends, but it turned out he did. But as I got to know him more and more, I began to dislike him more because he was so loud and obnoxious. So I stopped hanging out with him and found different friends.

Reply:Welcome to the real world. Sociopaths make it a career to be charming and likable. That's why you feel like you've been in a train wreck after they've done their damage. Move slowly into relationships. You're not the lone ranger in this department, so don't be hard on yourself. Sorry you're going through that.
