Please help me, I find it hard to make friends.?

Okay, I find it hard to make friends with people due to me being quite shy, and I do have some friends but only about 4 %26gt;_%26gt; (NOT Including my Family) I would have alot more although I... well dont know how to make friends as im quite shy, like I mentioned above.


So can anyone pls help?

Having just 4 friends is good enough, you know. Quality over quantity.


I wonder how you made friends with those people, if you don't know how to make friends. D:


You were attracted to them, ne? And that you consider them friends, not acquaintances, shows how you value them.


I would work on getting closer to them first, than start making a bunch of temporary, situational, "friends."


Your question isn't one which can be given a simple answer.


People worthy of becoming friends cannot be generalized.


However, you can put yourself out in the open (you know what I mean. And I don't mean strip naked.) and see who comes to you.Go to social events, join clubs, the works.


But I'm guessing you already considered these options.


They're just too hard to do right now-- cuz you're shy.


Then, work to overcome your timidness.


Join in on an conversation. Or are you afraid you're too boring, and can't come up with interesting subjects to talk about? Thats my case. Trust me, though. Everyone is a bit boring sometimes. : )

Reply:Look as long as the four friends you have are always there for you and never turn their back on you, you ok. Sometimes you might have 10 friends and 8 of them will stab you in the back. So it's better to have four good friends the 100 back-stabbing ones .

Reply:Make yourself likable. (: Shy guys are almost always cute. If you're shy because you're afraid you'll mess up, eg. trip in the hallway, hit your head on a locker door, don't be! we all get a lil clumsy sometimes and usually, it's rather funny and when people laugh, they like you. (: I tripped over a chair when I was presenting a project and it didn't affect my friendships with others (: laugh along whenever u want to, and don't neglect anyone. don't be afraid to talk a little bit more.. but you GOTTA BE YOURSELF. most people don't like pretenders. that's why we choose Oprah over Britney.
