Is it wrong to find new friends just because my interests have changed and I feel my current friends losers?

by "losers" I mean that they seem to be in the same place they were when I met them, no progress. Also I find myself constantly forgiving them for being disloyal. Plus how do I go about meeting new people when I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. I suppose I would rather be in one of the other circles of friends here but I don't know how to go about it? seriously frustrating and lonely!!!!!!!!!

Is it wrong to find new friends just because my interests have changed and I feel my current friends losers?
There is an old saying, if you want to be successful hang with successful people. This rule applies here. I did the same thing 2 years ago, slowly filtered out my old friends because they were drinking every night and using drugs. I didnt want that life so I moved and made new friends. Best move I ever made.
Reply:It's okay for any one to find new and different friends, but you do not ned to be ugly about this change. You do not need to hurt other people's feelings and by calling them losers that is what you are doing.
Reply:It's not wrong to find new friends if you no longer enjoy hanging out with the old ones. Just try to be polite about it - don't say insulting things about the old friends.
Reply:The older you get, the more you will be in your situation.People change. Your old friends may or may not be losers. Do not critize them. You probably have grown in different areas than them.

Just live your life and new friends will come.
Reply:Dear Sir,

No it is not wrong to find new friends because of change of interest.

It is a famous proverb that," a friend in need is a friend indeed". The help of a friend is not possible when we have no common interests. Making new friends according to our interests is the requirement of life because no one can live alone. However we shall keep contact with our old friends up to the extent of just hello and hi.
