How can i help my grandpa find his friends from Korea?
try millitary.com the search and the reunion search. His bn may have annual reunions that he could attend. My grandfather's WW2 bn does. If you don't find anything IM me and if you'll provide me with some names i can use my army knowledge online wife to see if they have an email address through the marines. Any of the guys that were career and retired may very well have a marine email account set up. Ur best bet will most likely be military.com though. Good Luck and good hunting. Tell your grandpa thanks for me btw.
Reply:It is quite possible. If you have his name, you may want to check with the national offices of the American Legion, Or The Veterans of Foreign Wars ( WWW.legion.org is for the American Legion) . You can also try www.military.com. They have a link where you can find other Vets. That would probably be your best bet. Good luck, and I think it is great you are trying to help your Grandpa find his old buddy. Please email me if you need some help. I am a member of both the American Legion and the VFW.
Reply:Go to buddy finder on www.military.com or check the Marine Corps website and see if they have a buddy finder search engine
Reply:wow he was with Chesty Puller ?

I have goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished reading his biography.

but to answer your question have you tried classmates?

Ive been happy with them, some people complain
Reply:contact the local VFW and American Legion Posts and ask them for assistance. Ask them how to post a request in their magazines.
Reply:Militarytimes.com can have an ad placed in the marine corp times and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a response.
