Why is it hard to find true friends?

the ones u do find r always trying to use you


or they mistreat you, i had a run in with some friends who just took things to a whole new level and i still don't understand the cause but anyway friends like that i don't need

Why is it hard to find true friends?
Because a "true" friend doesn't exist. There will always be agendas, arguements, and betrayals. Humankind is a dumb beast with credit cards. The concept of true friends is like the concept of peace: it's nice to think about, but doesn't work in practice. Instead, find "Allies," they seem to work much better, but keep them at arm's length.
Reply:Finding a good true friend is never easy. But if you consider ur good true friends to be the ones who ditch you and mistreat you, then you obviously have NO IDEA what real friends are. Maybe you should look outside of ur "Group" there maybe someone else out there who is looking for the same thing, just someone to lean on.
Reply:No, you don't need friends like that. Be true to yourself and go places where you will meet nice people. Try church. Larger churches have groups for singles, career/college age, young married, teens, etc. You would meet some "real" people there. Give it a try. God Bless.

Reply:Most people seem to be greedy. I have what the Lord has given me as he ALWAYS meets my needs. What more could I ask for? So, whats left? HONESTY! Therefore, I can be true.

I mean I try to be nice,, but I feel the same as you alot,, that I can just find normal , desent, fun, people to connect with. Someone who isn't trying to get money or sex from me??? I don't know mabye we can both find some answers LOL
Reply:Because people only think of themselves. Growing up, I had plenty of friends who would use me, talk about me behind my back, betray me, etc. And I cut off ties with every last one of them and am a happier person because of it.
Reply:I hear ya! You think that you have a great friend, then they go psycho on ya. It's hard to find ones that you can actually trust.
