How old-fashioned do you need (what century/era)?
Reply:Old fashioned English songs can be from several countries, however, Greensleeves is one of my favorites, it's Celtic (Irish) and is a bit older that old, from the 16th century.

There is an entry in the Stationers' Register in 1580 licensing Richard Jones to print A new Northern Dittye of the "Lady Green-Sleeves". The earliest lyrics that survive are in "A Handful of Pleasant Delights" (1584)

I the site has several song on it.
Reply:Search for Noel Coward, Ivan Novello, Flanagan %26amp; Allen. These are all from between the wars (WWI and WWII, not Gulf I and Gulf II) and are music hall types. If you cant find them on the web, the CDs will be cheap.
