Why.....why we can't find out true FRIENDS on net?

Hi, I just want to ask one thing---why a male on net can’t be only a good friend? Whenever I try to make good friends on net; after just 3-5 minutes of chat suddenly boys want to know my cell no. or my pic though I have never used fancy, luring or seductive language. I thought, net is truly an innovative medium to find out good friends but my experiences proved it wrong. Why a male and female can never be only good and true friends without any physical interest?

You can find them, it just takes time. And keep to your method of not using sexual language, even if they do, just ignore it.


I had an internet friend on here for over 2 years before I moved and we lost track of one another, and it was one of the most - well, pure - friendships I've ever had, if you can use that word. If they are interested in you as a person, it can happen. I have many male friends IRL where there's no funny business going on. You just set your boundaries and keep them firm.

this is the sad thing about the net. you have no idea whether he/she is lying to you or not...
Reply:They can. If you are looking on yahoo chat rooms or myspace, you will run into a bunch of losers who can't find a girlfriend (much less keep one). Look for more intelligent guys if you don't want the whole animalistic female hunt manuever taken on you.

I keep things as general as possible.


If there is a friendship possible, than that would be nice.


They have there lives and I have mine.


I just like talking to others and getting to know what they think.

Reply:Maybe you haven't been trying hard enough. There are more not so nice people here than good ones. But you do find a handful worth talking to. Try some more.
Reply:Maybe, they want to know a lot about you. Maybe interest for who chat with you and want to be your friend, or maybe other. But it's just my opinion.
Reply:you can't be friends on the net because you are not meeting or talking to the person in a day-to-day manner. You usually can't see the person's normal facial expressions and mannerisms. You can't tell a stalker from a policeman. People can and do make up all kinds of things about themselves. A 20 year old guy may really be


60! It is not safe. MANY are on here for sex.
