Needing to find new friends at 27....?

I am 27, mom of two and wife to a man who works out of town more than he is at home. After high school my friends all moved away and I stayed in our home town. That's when I got married and had kids. Now that my life is a little settled down and I have some time for myself I am having a hard time finding good friends.





Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find groups of woman with similar interests. (No bar hopping, social drinks at home, interest and respect for being a parent, working out of the home kind of gals)?

Churches may have social interest groups that cover a wide variety of social interests where you can find people of similar interests.





Also, volunteering your time at a cause you enjoy is also a great way to meet like-minded people.

Reply:Well, mingle ard, i'm sure you can find frens. Or get yourself involved in your church (if u r christian) or Temple ( if u r Buddhist), or maybe join in the fun organising for your nearest Rukun Tetangga. If staying at Condo %26amp; apartment, i'm sure, there got some activities that suits u. Help out and i'm sure you can find someone with similiar interest as frens :)
Reply:we are in the same situation, i moved away to get away from my friends because they were a bad influence on me, i made lots of new friend but now i moved back and have to start all over, i work at home so its hard for me to meet new people, I'm just hoping once i go back to college i will meet people I've meet people at my my volunteer service but they live kinda far.
